Our Porsche dealership in Thousand Oaks is seeking a Manager - Sales & Finance. This is a great opportunity to take your automotive career to the next level. In this position, you will contribute to the success of Rusnak Group by providing leadership for both sales and finance components.

Responsibilities

Successfully Manages Sales Objectives

  • Develops, consistently monitors, and adjusts sales goals (financial/budgets and volumes) to achieve Company and franchise sales objectives.
  • Proactively works with Sales Consultants, General Sales Manager (GSM) and/or General Manager (GM) to develop action plans to immediately correct performance in order to consistently meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Analyzes market and franchise data to develop growth plan and identify areas of opportunity.
  •  Proactively and consistently works with GSM and/or GM to ensure that revenue targets are met.
  •  Works closely with GSM and/or GM to develop and implement effective cost control strategies.
  • On a weekly and monthly basis, monitors sales and profitability to ensure strategic goals are being met

Plays a Key Role in Strategic Planning

  • Proactively participates in the Company strategic planning process.
  • Works closely with GSM and/or GM to develop the franchise-level plan; consistently evaluates performance to develop methods for improving performance and ensures we consistently have the right candidate at the right time for the right position.
  • Consistently analyzes current market conditions.
  • Adheres to the corporate requirements for using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.

Promotes Personnel Engagement and Ensures Development/Management

  • Works closely with GSM and/or GM to identify opportunities to improve franchise effectiveness.
  • Works closely with GSM and/or GM to develop and implement a plan to continuously improve the capabilities of all franchise team members.
  • Consistently develops and maintains external relationships to reach out and solicit highly qualified candidates who would be quality hires for the franchise team.
  • Assists the GSM and/or GM with recruiting and interviewing for franchise positions.
  • Proactively works with the management team to develop and implement on-going sales team improvement plans.
  • Works closely with Sales Consultants, Sales Assistants, and other Sales Department team members to establish their annual goals, which are designed to support Company and franchise strategy and are consistent with each team members Job Descriptions.

Fosters Positive Manufacturer Relations

  • Develops appropriate relationships with manufacturer partners to enhance the reputation of the Company and franchise.
  • Ensures at all times that the franchise sales team consistently meets or exceeds a high ethical standard in the eyes of the manufacturer partners.
  • Ensures that the franchise sales team consistently meets the performance expectations of the manufacturer partners.

Effectively and Efficiently Manages Finance Processes; Ensuring Legal Compliance, Accuracy, Fair Treatment

  • Maintains active knowledge of all current and pending state and federal legal compliance guidelines; understands and complies with Company, local, state, and federal regulations that pertain to the sale of new and used vehicles.
  • Consistently protects the Company from liability throughout the finance process; validates Clients expectations; any disclosure required is reviewed with the Client(s) and acknowledged by signature.
  • Ensures all documentation is accurately completed in a timely manner while consistently protecting Client information.
  • Conducts all business in an ethical and professional manner.

Ensures Integrity of Transactions

  • Ensures that all transactions are completed in a timely manner, ensures all written and verbal representations are accurate and as intended
  • Consistently ensures that all department files are current, neat, and secured at all times; ensuring full protection of Client information.
  • Prior to delivery, verifies all aspects of the Sales Department’s deal structure, such as, but not limited to, rate, residual, advance, and term; ensures that Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is accurate; carefully and consistently reviews Client’s credit profile to ensure our ability to secure a lending source
    at or below the rate being offered to the Client.
  • Before forwarding to administration, carefully and consistently checks all paperwork for correct information such as, but not limited to, title, lien information, and taxes.
  • Verifies payoff information on all trade-ins; verifies proper insurance coverage on all deals.

Effectively and Efficiently Contributes to Achieving Strategic Goals

  • Assists the sales process through completion of the sale while ensuring all corporate finance goals are met on a dealership, individual and campus level.
  • Encouraged and expected to generate additional revenue by negotiating gross profit, maintaining and improving reserves, and by selling aftermarket products and services through consistent use of the finance menu.
  • Leads by example and Promotes excellent Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI)/ Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
  • Maximizes cash flow by getting funding packages to the General Manager (GM) as quickly as possible.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Manufacturer’s policy, procedures, programs, and initiatives; adheres to these practices and integrates as required in all relevant Client interactions.
  • Encouraged and expected to act upon day to day departmental decisions; however, must consult GM and/or Human Resources (HR) before implementation of major decisions.

Designs and Achieves Individual Goals

  • Develops, and consistently monitors, sales financial goals (budgets), with Corporate Finance Manager and Campus General Managers.
  • Analyzes market and franchise data to develop growth plan and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Consistently works with Corporate Finance Director and General Managers to ensure that revenue targets are met.
  • Works closely with Corporate Finance Director and General Managers to develop and implement cost control strategies.
  • On a weekly and monthly basis, monitors sales and profitability.
  • Works closely with Corporate Finance Director and General Managers to develop action plans to correct performance as required to better enhance productivity for overall campus.

Maintain a productive workforce that efficiently meets the needs of the company:

  • Manage, model, set tone, and guide employees in the company’s culture and service expectations (The RUSNAK Standard); develop a workforce that is highly engaged and committed to the franchise and RUSNAK organization.
  • Plan, direct, coordinate and supervise work activities of subordinates ensuring all services are consistently performed on a timely manner per franchise and company policy and guidelines.
  • Evaluate and hold employees accountable for results and quality of service; provide clear performance expectations, training, coaching, and discipline in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain adequate staffing level; plan staffing needs proactively, develop budget, create accurate job descriptions, recruit in a timely manner, hire individuals well qualified for their position that embody the company values.
  • Foster collaboration and ownership among staff; engage staff in planning, process improvement, strategy implementation, and as appropriate in conflict resolution, problem solving, etc.
  • Develop staff and encourage professional and personal growth through hands-on training, coaching, and mentoring to meet current and future department and company needs.

Maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation:

  • Manage department budget; payroll, supplies, training, staff morale incentives; audit supply, projects, vendor, and programs cost to ensure cost containment within yearly budget, ROI, and quality of service.
  • Collaborate with other departments to find solutions that are in the best interest of the company; interact efficiently with team leaders, supervisors, and staff to resolve interdepartmental processes and cost containment.
  • Ensure employees maintain current department procedures, policy, guidelines manuals; maintain workforce current on relevant government laws, regulations, Company guidelines and policies, and best practices.
  • Manage and plan workflow and timelines effectively to ensure on-time delivery of department deliverables.
  • Foster efficiency; continuously seek to improve processes, products and services; solicit and apply employee and management feedback regarding department’s quality of service; conduct regular service surveys reviews.
  • Maintains information confidential; ensure that work area is secure, store and distribute personnel, client, and company information according to legal and company guidelines; do not discuss confidential information with anyone except as allowed by law and required for business purposes.

Qualifications

Required: Minimum of 5 years in position of Sales Manager or similar positions in automotive, Retail, Sales industries.
Desired: H.S. Diploma/GED/ or Equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; at least 7 retail related experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skill.
At least eighteen (18) years of age.
Required: Current California Driver License with satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicle driving record.
Required: Current California Sales License.
